A hive of activity!

A hive of activity!

There is so much going on at our little Goldsworth Road shop that it's hard to keep up! Some of the participants in our guitar workshops are pictured here and we'll soon be introducing vocal workshops too. We kicked off the year with a great Sunday acoustic session, and there's another one coming soon in February. Plus the open mic nights are back! More details on all of these below.

We want to take this opportunity to thank Will Budd and Vanessa Lake who ran a music night featuring Lisa Von H, with support from Rebecca Jayne and Arun Kanag and they donated £277.08 to the Phoenix Cultural Centre CIC from the proceeds. A massive thank you to them for such a kind gesture and a great night of music too!

A big thank you too to Get Surrey, for featuring us as one of the projects that makes Woking what it is. You can find that article on their website. Our founders have been busy as part of the Community Business Leaders Programme across the UK, and sharing their expertise with the School of Social Entrepreneurs.

We will be shutting down the Goldsworth Road premises in March. We'll let you know about a final farewell event as soon as we know. We still await the lease on the Quake nightclub which we were offered and have been negotiating since March 2016.

In the meantime, there is lots going on. Do come along and get in touch if you want more information on anything we're up to (phoenixculturalcentre@yahoo.co.uk).
