Woking's community music venue

Woking's community music venue

As you've hopefully heard already, we're planning to turn the old Quake nightclub in Woking town centre into a community live music venue! At the moment, it's looking likely that we'll take over the building in January.

There's already lots to do and it's great to see the community coming together to get involved and support the project. Thank you so much to everyone who has been involved this year and to all of you who have offered help for next year! If you are interested in volunteering, please do get in touch. (We welcome any skills people can offer in accountancy, legal, marketing, fundraising, building etc. as well as more general help.) Special mention to the staff from the University of Surrey (pictured) who came along to do some painting – the first bit of makeover we've given the venue. Plenty more of that to come in the new year.

It has been a busy time and will get even busier! Thank you for the part you have played to make it all happen. We have all really appreciated every encouragement and bit of help we have received and really look forward to working with you again in 2017.
