Cancelled: The Sound of the Suburbs Festival

Cancelled: The Sound of the Suburbs Festival

Update: Unfortunately, The Members has had to cancel this event.

Punk band The Members is celebrating 40 years together with 'The Sound of the Suburbs Festival' in the new Fiery Bird venue in Woking on 29 July. Here's what the organisers have to say about it...

"Punk Rock is coming home – a 40th anniversary of alternative music in Surrey. The Members celebrate with special guests Ruts DC & Phoenix Chroi. The event starts at 4pm when new local bands will be given a chance to show that great music is still coming out of Surrey and a chance to play at their own live music venue among the greats. Artwork, record stalls and a great bar will be available and the evening kicks off at 7pm with local band Phoenix Chroi, followed by a special guest, Ruts DC who have been touring with a blistering set of old and new exciting songs with The Members headlining this special event. The Members continue to gig in style and their unmistakable sound that nailed forever the suburban anthem into punk rock history."
