Great live music at our fundraising gig

Great live music at our fundraising gig

A big thank you to everyone who made the fundraising gig on 21 April such a great night! Although we've not yet got the lease, we were able to use the new venue (Quake - soon to be Fiery Bird!) for a great night of music featuring Eddie & The Hot Rods, Department S, Ed Tenpole-Tudor and Phoenix Chroi. The bands all did great sets, and we can't thank them enough.

Huge thanks also to everyone involved behind the scenes, including Ed from Elegraphics for poster design, Knaphill Print for doing all the flyers & posters, HD Pro Audio for lending the sound equipment and engineering skills, Kim from Waterats studio for loan of stuff and expertise, Dan from Powerhouse (and The Fanzines!) for volunteering last minute, Sainsbury's for the band refreshments, Sarah from Mirador Design for the press pics (including the one on this page) and Ali & her staff at Big Apple. Plus all of our amazing volunteers, and everyone who came along to support the event. We just can't thank people enough for what they do to get this off the ground. Thanks also to Get Surrey for their support - you can read a write up of the gig on their website.

If you couldn't make it, you can get a peek inside the new venue in this Pyrford TV Arts interview with Elaine about the project. Recorded back in February, the footage gives an idea of the scale of the venue we are looking to take over. With thanks to them for their support.
