Beginners' acoustic guitar course

Beginners' acoustic guitar course

Many people find that learning and playing a musical instrument provides real benefits to general health and wellbeing.

Our basic acoustic guitar course for absolute beginners provides a great introduction to the guitar and guitar-playing techniques, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The next course will run on Mondays, from 25th February for 6 weeks. Each session starts at 7pm and runs for 45 minutes.

We start from the very beginning with tuning your guitar, through basic chords and playing techniques and by the end of the course you should be able to play a few songs and have enough knowledge to go on to the next stage in your guitar-playing career.

Ideally, you should bring your own guitar along, but we have a few guitars at the venue if you need to use one. And we'll provide material for you to take away and practise at home after each week's session.

The cost for the whole course is £90 (waged) or £60 (unwaged - proof required). You can also buy gift vouchers for the course. As always, don’t let cost be a barrier. Contact us to discuss further if you’d like to access anything at the centre.
